Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Dr. Kimberly Shepherd attended the University of Arizona and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. She then went on to complete her medical training at the University of Texas Health Science Center. After marrying her husband, Ed, a Neonatologist and native Midwesterner, she moved to Columbus where she completed her Ob/GYN residency at the Ohio State University Medical Center.
Dr. Shepherd is affiliated with both the American Medical Association and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Her specializations include adolescent medicine and women’s health issues. Her abstract entitled "Improving Hemodynamic Stability and Peripartum Outcome in Parturients with Cardiac Disease" was selected for a poster presentation for the 2003 American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists national conference.
Dr. Shepherd enjoys reading, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her husband and sons. She has been in private practice with Kingsdale Gynecologic Associates since 2003.
