When Dr. Brianne Plante turned six years old, she had heart surgery and was inspired to become a doctor. After growing up in Eugene, Ore., she attended University of Hartford in West Hartford, Conn. where she graduated summa cum laude and played varsity volleyball throughout undergrad. She received a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry and continued her education to receive her medical training at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Fla. Dr. Plante fulfilled her OB/GYN residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, before joining Kingsdale Gynecologic Associates in 2014.
During her residency, Dr. Plante received several honors, including Medical Student Teacher of the Year, the Keith Devoe research award and the Community Care award. She has remained involved in the residency program and in 2016, accepted a position as an assistant program director for the Riverside Methodist OB/GYN Residency Program.
Dr. Plante specializes in minimally invasive surgery and is certified to provide Nexplanon contraceptive. She is a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). She is passionate about taking care of a woman from adolescence through menopause and truly establishing a relationship to form a partnership in their health care.
Dr. Plante resides in Hilliard with her family. In their spare time they enjoy trying new Columbus restaurants, watching The Ohio State University football games, and spending time together.
